Silver Spring Birthday

My 3rd card using my scrap double sided patterned paper - one more to go after this! Its funny how a card begins in your head and then something goes wrong and it takes on a whole new track - I had stuck a happy birthday sticker next to the butterfly but as happens it didnt look right so I removed it -  lo and behold the base card stuck to it and made a complete mess...

so rather than waste the whole thing out came some glitter paper from my scraps - I cut a disc and stuck it over the mess!!

Thinking of Birds

I suffer "bus rage" - esp when you know a driver sees you but doesnt open the door and refuses to look at you - he then indicates and pulls into traffic... grrr I then have to wait 15 to 20 mins for the next bus!!! Luckily there is a Lincraft store right nearby and then you realise things do happen for a reason.
Oh wow -a Sizzix die [Birds & Branches] that normaly costs $30 or more and the price tag says $6.99 - AND its almost exactly something that is on your on-line store wish lists!!!

So I rushed home and raided my stash of offcuts to make this little beauty - I am so pleased with how it turned out. The sticker, card stock and bling is from my stash.

Swiss Red

This is my 2nd card using the reverse side of my patterned paper scrap. The bottom half reminds me of the Swiss Alps - not because I 've been there but more the old black & white Shirley Temple movie - Heidi...

Spring Birthday

Ahh Springtime - wish it felt that way - Brisbane Queensland Australia its either stinking hot &/or raining at the moment - thank goodness for air conditioning!!

  

Wish this photographed better - used Tombows for colour, clear kindy glitz on the edges of the flowers and the floral stamp is the Kaisercraft Hippy Girl Collection and Happy Birthday is from the Creative Stamp Collection - Bev Bartlett.

 

In real life the colours are very fresh and bright and the kindyglitz just sparkles, sparkles, sparkles...LOL!

Birthday Pinwheels

Just took delivery of a Stampin Up S Pinwheel die this morning - couldn't wait to try it out!! Sooo cute...
The patterened paper is pale blue with white dots on one side and a slightly darker blue pattern on the other but its a bit hard to see... the Dienamics star border die is also cut using the pale blue and white dots paper and the white Happy Birthday sticker,navy card stock and brads are from my stash.

Funny the brads all looked the same colour to me until I took the photo LOL... must be getting old!! But you know what - it is a hand made card and every one is unique!!!
