Poinsettia - 2

Looks like poinsettias will be my Chrissy theme this year as I am having fun right now experimenting with my 2 new dies...

Using the honeycomb embossed card I created with my Fancy That honeycomb die [yippee] as my background I distressed 1 piece of card stock with Tim Holz distress Inks Peeled Paint & Shabby Shutters and another piece with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick then put them thru my Big Shot - leaves & centre from my Die-namics poinsettia die and petals using my Nellie designs poinsettia die. I distressed the embossed background with Milled Lavender and Shabby Shutters. Then clear kindy glitzed the edges of the petals and blinged the middle... Memory box label die and then a sticker from my stash.                              The whole poinsettia is made using snippets from my stash...
I am linking up to the following challenges with this creation

 Less is More - Hexagons
And a first time at Southern Girl's Challenge - Give it an Uppercut & Punch it out...

  2. Wow M, this is just beautiful. Love those hexagons, which go perfectly with the pink poinsettia. Needless to say my fave. poinsettias are pink, followed by white........and only then, red!

    Love it!

  4. Just catching up on commenting...I love poinsettias too! I made quite a few last year. Yours looks lovely! I like it with the hexagon.

Sometimes I have layered the poinsettias with a bit of hessian..I just cut it with the die. I like that look too.
