Proud GraduaTe for Tuesday

It's time for a cuppa and a chat with creative friends in blogland - if you would like to join in head on over to Altered Book Lover where Bleubeard and Elizabeth have a comfy chair for everyone at T for Tuesday...

I am so proud to share the news that my 17yr old has graduated High School - she wasn't confident that she would make it right up to the days before the ceremony - but I am happy to say she did!!

She let us know that she wouldn't be going up on stage to collect her certificate - but that was her choice and shows her need to be different from those around her - and it doesn't detract from that full heart feeling I have bursting with pride!!
My cup this week is the one I have had on my desk at work for the last 7 years...

I love the shape the colour and the fact it keeps drinks warm for ages... paired with some Mars Bar cookies it holds Vanilla Latte on this occasion...

And the farewell card from my Team mates... I just love it - so simple and chic...
I have attached it to my inspiration board that I started last year...

This board contains just a few items - top left is a gold & red enamelled poppy pin purchased years ago for remembrance day, a couple of masks painted by my daughter - she doesn't get crafty very often... the harlequin card is a sample of my Twinkling H20's which I love, the bottom left to right is the 50th birthday card my sister Cathy gave me - I just adore it and her... the scroll is one of my favourite shapes in the world as it can go forever... and now my farewell card from my 16 years at work... signed by some of my best friends... yes I really loved the gold envelope too!!

Well that's it for me this week - Thanks for stopping by everyone... I love the opportunity to share in a caring and creative environment... hugs Mxx

Red & Green Joy

I have gathered a lot of ribbon over the years - and recently received some Christmas ribbon & bows in a pack from one company just for ordering from them within a certain date... my daughter raided my ribbons and pulled 4 of them out of the drawer with a challenge to use them - "cos that's what they are for!!" Well - OK then LOL
Here is my first card using said ribbon and a bow...

Materials Used: Ribbon from Photo Continental, Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament die for the green bauble, Stampin Up Ornament punch, stamp and Petals A Plenty ef, Memory Box die used for the  top of the ornament, snippets and base card from stash.

Peace & Joy Up-cycle

Re-cycling of old cards - I tend to hang on to cards for a few years before I use them - the images here are at least 10 years old...

Not entering into any challenges as the only contribution I made was the base card, fussy cutting and the glue to stick it all together...

Taking Time for T

Hi everyone...
Last week I had an abundance of requests to show a few follow ups so firstly...

Here is my daughter in her Supernova costume having her pic taken with a pirate... I don't know if she knows the pirate or they just decided to take the pic....

My drinkie this week is Lemon & Lime mineral water - I had actually just finished a glass but forgot to photograph - hence the Taking Time for T label on my post... sitting on my die cutting & embossing / dining table... Angry birds trying to load in FB in the background!!

Lastly click HERE to see what I ended up doing with the Xmas Bauble blank cards I had prepped last week... delivery is tomorrow - fingers crossed the customer likes them...

If you would like to share a chat and cuppa with some fabulously creative people pop on over to Altered Book Lover and take a peek... < Hilarious faux pas - when I posted and came back to check how everything looked I had to edit to add the K on the end of this last line - how embarrassing LOL...

10 Cards for Christmas

Finished off my order for 10 customised cards... I had been wondering what I was going to use to get them done after I had completed the die cuts and what do you know in an online order I received free stickers that suited the project perfectly.

The little cars are a stamp I borrowed from my sister [I think it is a Hero Arts background stamp] and clear embossed coloured versa colour inks and then fussy cut.

Wedding Thank You's

A friend getting married in Dec had me make an On Our Wedding Day card for her to give her partner... she was so pleased with the result she immediately asked me to do the thank you cards for her wedding party. She chose a design I used for my cousin's 50th birthday invites last year but in a range of colours...

All ingredients prepped to go... the original inspiration at the back left...

Almost there on day 1... the bride to be chose the colour combinations...

All finished on day two... ready to post off tomorrow...

Materials used: Lots and lots of snippets of coloured card stock, Stampin Up Vanilla as card bases, Memory box buckle die, Joy Stencil blossom dies, Spellbinders nesting rectangles dies, Hero Arts Thank You stamp and gold ep, bling from stash.

A Year of Birthdays

Finally clearing this set of cards off my desk after deciding to ink distress them...
Up-cycled the unicorn images from an old 2009 calendar - as they have a tiny month included in each corner I thought I would make them a set  - some of the distressing is really light and some a bit darker LOL - but it gave me a chance to use some of my new DI pads - so NBUS stuff covered...

I am linking up with Pixies Snippets Playground Week 96 with this set - come on over and join us - its a lotta fun!!
