Proud GraduaTe for Tuesday

It's time for a cuppa and a chat with creative friends in blogland - if you would like to join in head on over to Altered Book Lover where Bleubeard and Elizabeth have a comfy chair for everyone at T for Tuesday...

I am so proud to share the news that my 17yr old has graduated High School - she wasn't confident that she would make it right up to the days before the ceremony - but I am happy to say she did!!

She let us know that she wouldn't be going up on stage to collect her certificate - but that was her choice and shows her need to be different from those around her - and it doesn't detract from that full heart feeling I have bursting with pride!!
My cup this week is the one I have had on my desk at work for the last 7 years...

I love the shape the colour and the fact it keeps drinks warm for ages... paired with some Mars Bar cookies it holds Vanilla Latte on this occasion...

And the farewell card from my Team mates... I just love it - so simple and chic...
I have attached it to my inspiration board that I started last year...

This board contains just a few items - top left is a gold & red enamelled poppy pin purchased years ago for remembrance day, a couple of masks painted by my daughter - she doesn't get crafty very often... the harlequin card is a sample of my Twinkling H20's which I love, the bottom left to right is the 50th birthday card my sister Cathy gave me - I just adore it and her... the scroll is one of my favourite shapes in the world as it can go forever... and now my farewell card from my 16 years at work... signed by some of my best friends... yes I really loved the gold envelope too!!

Well that's it for me this week - Thanks for stopping by everyone... I love the opportunity to share in a caring and creative environment... hugs Mxx

  5. I'm SO proud of your daughter, too. It's a big milestone for her, and her choice to not walk across the stage was what shows her individuality.

Mars cookies and vanilla latte? And I thought I had a sugary post this week (grin).

Thanks for joining in today with such awesome news of your daughter and her big day,
