Rudolph

Cheat: This image was stamped by a lovely lady at a craft show - she was demonstrating gold glitter pens & distress inks I think - any way being the collector I am I asked if I could have the image and she happily gave it to me... well I was going through my stash and found it but the gold pen had disappeared into the colours of the distressing so I decided to jazz it up with liquid pearls & red glitzing glamour on the nose... a bronze card and gold sticker from my stash rounds it off nicely!!

Cherubs

Cruising through my stash and found this cherub image saved from an old card I received... too cute to not up-cycle... a silver envelope too small to fit a card into, some gold Kindyglitz, Cuttlebug dots ef, and sticker n card from stash...

Of course it looks better IRL - gold kindyglitz always looks like dark spots on a card LOL

I am squeezing this through the gates over at Pixies Crafty Snippets Playground - gotta hurry the gates are swinging in the wind...LOL

A little sprinkle of flowers and the right sentiment lifts the spirits...

The lighting is way different too I promise its exactly the same card

WOYWW #218

Head on over to Stamping Ground & trip around creative desks of the world hosted by Julia Dunnit,,,

It may be prophetic - if you follow T for Tuesday you will know in my last post I made a lament to the fact I am now in a redeployment pool at work - I wont rave on here - but my "work desk" today is quite clearly giving me a message... rather than photograph an empty desk I dragged out my drawer full of die cuts and stamped images and the first thing my hand landed on was Thanks...

I moved my big jar of licorice bullets out of the way and grabbed some chevrons
- cut using my sisters new "prize" from Pixies Snippets Playground...
the theme this week is THANKS

Thanks for the almost 16 years of employment I have had where I am [so far]...
Thanks to my wonderful sister & her fab husband who paid a plumber to fix all my leaking taps...
Thanks to friends who have recently come into my life and show that they really care...
Thanks to my new on-line friends who share their creativity and good wishes on all occasions...
Thanks for my daughter who after 8 years of trying finally made an appearance -
and I am very thankful she is now almost 18 years old...
Thanks to ME for having the foresight to build up a stash that will get me though any lean times ahead and keep me creating for a long time to come...

Finally - Thanks for stopping by... Mxx

T for Tuesday #4

Elizabeth over at Altered Book Lover hosts T for Tuesday each week - somewhere to share thoughts & ideas and a cuppa as well...

Very late to pay my dues in T for Tuesday this week but I have an excuse...

Its that point when you get told that the role you have been doing for 7 years - developing & changing to meet the needs of the business and banging your head against a brick wall to get recognised/upgraded - finally gets reviewed in a restructure - gets upgraded and you have to apply for it - & guess what - you don't have the desired skills/experience/qualifications to suit the new role!!!!
I didn't get the other role I applied for either...

I wont bore with the nitty gritty cos I am sure most of us have had some experience having your role made redundant at work - but I was very despondent yesterday and just couldn't get myself off the couch ...

Today I went into work and did my job such as it is without any pleasure - mulling over how to move forward and start looking for other positions within the business - but if I don't 11 days short of my 16 years on the 5th October I will be out of work... the payout wont cover the mortgage so its still a working life for me and it may well be a blessing in disguise - if I can crack it somewhere in the craft industry and get paid to cover the bills I will be laughing LOL...

So sorry for being late - and I promise I wont be morose about it all - Cheers... Mxx
