WOYWW #632

Hi All - it's WOYWW Time again - popping around to visit the workdesks of artistic and crafty people around the world! If you would like to join in pop on over to Julia Dunnit's Stamping Ground 😀

A bit of crafting this week with 4 cards made using my "Randomly Using Dies" technique -

I found this image of a Leadlight Dalek on someone's FB profile and I love it

Eliza House is still in the tiling phase - apparently the trade was unwell so missed a few days
- grouting to be completed then I will make a visit again to check it all out.

Received upsetting news yesterday - my partner Gary's family had his nieces wedding last week - the photos are stunning - everyone in red & white - however Covid has been detected throughout the guests. His 26 year old nephew is positive, his 80 year old parents who are both fully vaccinated are waiting for their results - his father sounds dreadful over the phone.   You can't blame anyone - no-one knows if they have it at the start and it spreads like wildfire. They live in Kent - UK.
We are praying and hoping everyone comes out of it the other side.
Unrelated to the wedding - his "favourite" auntie has passed - so its a very sad and stressful time

Stay safe & well everyone
Cheers
Maurs xxx

  1. What sad and scary news. I hope those who are fully vaccinated test negative. It's scary if they don't because it means their vaccine isn't working properly. Keep us updated, please.

Your cards are beautiful. That's why I don't make cards. There are too many beautiful handmade ones that are simply incredible. I especially love the Christmas one, even if it scares me to say the word in July! Happy WOYWW from # 6. Please take care, dear.

  3. Love your cards - such a variety and all very nice! I have never been a huge Dr Who fan, but that Dalek is amazing. So sorry to hear of the outbreak at the wedding. Fingers crossed the vaccine will do it's job and save them all from anything other than mild illness.

  5. Gorgeous cards - I love the cream snowflake with the touch of red, and I love the backgrounds on the others - very striking. Sorry to hear about your family - the rates are rising very quickly all around us and it's scary - I know of quite a few people who have been double jabbed but still caught the virus - it was nasty for them but they didn't end up in hospital luckily. I hope everyone recovers soon and tests come back negative.
    Have a good week,

  6. “You will be exterminated!” Fabulous Dalek. You can’t trust them, not even the stained glass window variety! Sorry to hear about the uninvited guest at the wedding. I do hope everyone gets better quickly x Angela #7

  7. Your cards are just beautiful, Maurs. I've been watching a lot of Jennifer McGuire videos this week and really want to get going with some of her die-cutting techniques too - your examples are really inspiring! That dalek is brilliant - I love the added touch of his mediaeval weapon! What an imagination someone had! Sorry to hear the news of the family wedding. Just bear in mind that a positive result does not mean someone is ill, and there are a lot of false positives too. There's too much fear-mongering going on, in my opinion.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
