Ink & Twink

I have been stockpiling stash including scrapbooking paper for nigh on 20 years when I attended my very first "stamping" party with my sister...

When I check out what others have its actually quite modest - but when I get an idea to make something it takes ages to rummage through it all and find what I want LOL...

All that said I remembered scrapbooking paper I got with white pre-embossed images on it and while on the bus on the way to work had a brainwave to use some of it...

It is called "Color Me" by Hot Off The Press [2010] and is available at PaperWishes - and there are a number of different sheets - Color Me Flowers, and Color Me Borders and Tags are the two I have used - I also have Color Me Tapestry, Color Me Leaves, Color Me Butterflies and Color Me Swirls in my stash - and as they are scrapbooking sized sheets I am gonna get heaps of cards out of them... [I usually get 2 or 4 sheets when something grabs me - so I will probably have them for quite a long time - of course my sister might want one or two when she sees them!!]

Anyhoo...
here is what it looks like plain...
a creamy image and glossy embossing
And here is my go at adding a "bit" of colour...

Nice hey.... I am making a few cards with no sentiments so they can be "multifunctional"...

Materials used: Color Me papers: Flowers, borders & tags which included the two butterflies by HOTP, Stampin Up Daffodil Yellow, Certainly Celery & Lovely Lilac inks applied with Inkydinkydoo sponge applicators, Twinkling H20's on the flowers, and highlights in clear Kindyglitz[not yet dry when the photo was done]
