WOYWW #205 - another week already

Hi Everyone... its 4.20PM on Wednesday 08/05 here and believe it or not I was champing at the bit to have my 2nd turn at WOYWW - not because my desk is all that busy - but because I have met so many wonderful and creative people around the blogosphere... and am getting so much inspiration and creative energy from everyone - so a big THANKYOU to you!!

Here is my workspace at the moment:

The purple Papercraft bag is now where all my "snippets" and scraps live - if you were around a few days ago you will know that a lot of my pristine cardstock got a brisk wash with a glass of coke - my daughter was very sorry - so now I have a huge stash of not quite good enough for a whole card supply - it will all be put to good use... eventually - of course Di is quite happy for me to frequent the Snippets Playground at Pixies Crafty Workshop for as long as I want - whew - there is always a bright side... :)

I am working on the card in the background for a new blog named "Crafting with Dragonflies" - its their 1st ever challenge so call back later and I will focus on that creation...

I also have some stuff out for a Pirate card - borrowed some of a friends stash while she moves house - I am so lucky - stamped and embossed the pirate and now am stuck thinking what colours / colouring method to use... lol - he may stay there for quite a while... hope he makes himself comfy!

And another coffee.. mmm coffeeeee  - CYA all later!! Mxx

  1. Argh, the coke. ah well, it's your turn with coffee next...and believe me, it will happen! Your snips are beautifully organised, and very 'at hand' too. love the 'read books' sign on your unit.

  2. Oh dear that happens, glad you saved some of it.. You can always just spill coffee on the bits that have coke on it and then dry and sponge it with more ink might turn out really cool. new crafty trend.. Love the sign on your desk that says read books.

  3. As they say Mo time flies when you're having fun :) They deep fry things in coke (whoever they are) so I reckon Sandy above might be on to something!! LOL Cathy x

    1. That is so funny - I remember one episode where we had corned beef cooked in coke - it was delicious - it was only ever done once though!! Mxx

  8. So sorry to hear about the Coke incident! I think your desk looks lovely, though and 'Crafting with Dragon flies' sounds amazing. Good luck with that. Thank you for letting me stop by on my second visit to WOYWW. It's been fun.

  9. Lovely tidy workspace. And I truly love the 'read books' sign although I may have to make one which says, 'read books which are made of paper!'

  12. G'day
I usually don't get around for WOYWW till Friday as when Julia posts the link I am at work in the evening here in Oz. My day off isn't till Friday then but I'm home sick all this week so here I am just one day late(I couldn't type yesterday due to sore hands and why I am home!!). Oh no re the coke but I have had those accidents several times here myself. Have fun creating the pirate card ;o)
    hugs

  13. Interesting looking desk today. I have had my fair share of ooppss...spilling coke, coffee, margaritas...I try to selvage what I can and try not to cry over what I can't. Who knows there might be a new doused phase of paper craft coming out of it. Hope you have a great week and thanks for sharing! Vickie #36

  14. Way to make lemonade out of lemons!! I have a special cup holder to the SIDE of my workdesk, because I'm quite likely to have a spill myself otherwise!! How funny that I just got in a pirate set myself yesterday and will be making up some slightly naughty (snarky?) cards soon. I will be right there with you on the how to color them!!

    Happy Crafting!

  15. My cardstock is renowned for it's magnificent coffee stains...you are not alone! I can't even blame anyone else! Happy belated WOYWW. Pam#23

  16. Your cardstock looks beautifully organised now ... even if it did take a cola disaster. My most frequent disaster of that kind is to leave the baby wipes package open then to unwittingly lay cardstock on top ... dries out the wipes and ruins the card :( Have a great week. Elizabeth x #53

  17. Oh no! I've done the same thing myself - although not with coke, rather iced tea. I bet your poor daughter was so sorry. A disaster turns into an opportunity with the snippets playground though!

Thanks for visiting me already. I knew it wouldn't be before Saturday that I'd get a chance to visit people but here it is Sunday already!

    Happy WOYWW

  18. Oh dear to the Coke incident... but if you ditressed the edges and inked, it might work for you instead of against you!! LOL When I taught classes my first comment was always... get the drinks off the desks... if you ruin your own work it is sad, if you ruin someone else's it is mortifying. ;) Apologies for my late arrival, life got in the way this week!
