Blue Butterfly Birthday

Well I see lots of butterflies over the next few posts cos I am finally breaking out some NBUS - Kaisercraft butterfly stamps I have had for at least a year... and Faber Castell Artist watercolour pencils I won in a magazine competition almost 17 years ago - honest never used - but then the stash I won there was three sets of watercolours and pastels and stuff - my sister uses water colour pencils so well I thought it was about time...

Materials used: Kaisercraft Tigerlilly stamp inked up with versacolor royal blue, embossed with polysparkle ep, coloured with Faber Castell watercolour pencil, sentiment using EZCut paper dies, bling and white linen card base from stash.

I thought about using a flourish or something else to fill up white space but nothing I tried looked any good so I left it well enough alone... there is always the opportunity to create another card!!

I am linking up to the following challenges with this creation

Flutter By Wednesday #249 - Emboss It! You can use wet or dry embossing along with your butterfly or fairy! My butterfly is wet embossed...

Cuttlebug Mania - Anything Goes Die Cuts...

Oldie but A goodie Challenge - Embossing - I have used wet embossing and my pencils and stamps are way older than 6 month...

Thanks for stopping by... Mxx

  4. Now you have ME laughing on several accounts, but first let me say that I love your CASlicious design! If I were to have prizes for this NBUS thing, I'm sure you would get the grand prize for use of the OLDEST NBUS! Well done, Maureen! You should use the pencils more often. Your coloring is fantastic!

And second, thank you for my newest favoritist word EVER with your "droobies!" LOVE IT!! (And, sadly, oh so true! What I didn't say was that not much was visible seeing as how my boobs, sans bra, reside under my armpits!!) Hugs, Darnell
