WOYWW #215

Another week whizzes by...  A fabulous weekend was had with sister Cathy's visit - she brought a couple of stamps I requested... and a jaunt over to a friends house to trash her stash - lots of stamps borrowed...

At the back on top of my little drawers this week we still find my "color me" sheets - waiting for inspiration to hit - I have added a fragrant candle to my desk - I don't use heaters so when I snuggle up at night I light a lovely lavender candle to make me feel more cosy lol...

Now for a closer peek...

The two "black" images are the stamps my sister brought up for me to use - there are different colours stamped up underneath - the little chrissy lights were from my girlfriends stash and were fun to colour up with my aqua pens and H20's - and silver "twine" ready to string them but first there is some serious fussy cutting required... I will probably be finding these everywhere for months - just like confetti LOL
The amount of stamps my friend let me take out of her house is obscene - so many I couldn't spread them around - and I already have a drawer full still on loan from another friend - better not get them mixed up... Cathy stamped a few first - I cant wait til she does a card using the cactus!!!
And this is the second week a little bundle of fur has poked her head into a photo - can you see her??? I laughed my head off when I uploaded the pic...

That's it for this week - if you would like to take a tour around the crafty spaces of the world hop on over to Stamping Ground where our hostess Julia Dunnit does a fantastic job keeping everything running...         Thanks for stopping by... Mxx

EDIT: OOPS it happened again - went around everyone ending in 6 cos I was #86 - then went back and was #87 - even though I waited 30 mins before visiting LOL - so then I went and saw all the #7's as well....

  1. Hi Maude,
Firstly, I’m so sorry that I never made it to your blog last week, especially as you had made the effort to visit me for the first time. I’ve made you the first I visit this week, so I hope you forgive me.
Twice the creativity for half the stash, that sounds good to me……….what a good friend to let you loose with their stash!
I’m loving the little Christmas lights.
    Happy Crafting!

  3. Those flower stamps are gorgeous and what a lot of stamps. Your friend must have heaps of them if she can let you borrow that many at a time. Love those little chrissy lights.
    Have a great week.

  6. We always come back from our cub's house with stamps to borrow. What is it about other people's stash that's so interesting compared to us?

Thanks for visiting the bears already

  7. Bleubeard definitely saw his latest new friend in your photo. Now he's jealous because he doesn't get to visit my craft room. He's too furry.

I've never borrowed stamps, but I have a friend who lets me use hers when I visit her. I think there are more stamps on your desk than I actually own!

Everytime I see the words "fussy cuts," I laugh at my friend Halle, who left a comment one time saying she didn't see the "fussy CATS" in the photo. It's great how our brain takes over and changes what we read.

Thanks again for the visit and for joining Tea Stands For Tuesday. I guess you knew I was #2!

  8. Hi M, thanks for swinging by my blog..the mistake is on the reverse of the invite, I printed the front part of the card too close and ended up with the robot's antennae on the reverse, so just coloured it in LOL! I miss having my CB's stash to steal from, so I am jealous. can't wait to see what you do with the lights, they are awesome. Happy WOYWW Cx #36

  12. Hello! Thanks for popping by. The lights for the 'festival at the end of the year' look fab. I know what you mean about tidying up after a session of fussy cutting! I've had a hankering to start buying old school wooden stamping blocks for a while and seeing the collection you've borrowed from your friend might just be the kick up the bum I needed! Lucy #67 x

  20. LOL! My number often moves about and the numbers people attache to their comments are often not what they are, but we all still muddle thru somehow. Are those (whispers) christmas tree lights?! I try to avoid thinking about that holiday till I have to, but they DO look cute.. {sigh}

    Happy (late) WOYWW!

  22. Happy WOYWW! I'm a bit late as Google + won't let me comment, which is a pain, as I always thought Google and blogger were all the same~then I have to remember to go back to Julia's to get a link and then sometimes they don't work either! Honestly I wish they wouldn't change things! But I had to say I LOVE those little lights and you say you're going to string them up? they are going to look fabulous! I know I would want to (if they were digi's) print them onto acetate and have the images flipped as well so you could reverse them. Actually! Lanterns! Great, I have a nice idea in my head now, thank you!!! Have a great week, thanks for my snoop!! Happy (late) WOYWW!!??

  25. Happy Belated WOYWW, Maureen! I think this is the latest I've ever been, but I've not given up!! Hey, I noticed your cutter has a kitty head on it! What a riot!

How fun that you and Cathy and your friends all swap stamps! Talk about NBUS! I'd lose track, so taking a photo of the sets for each person is a great idea for keeping them straight. Happy stamping!! Darnell #20 (I think)
